As part of the process for obtaining a connection to the water and wastewater networks, developers may qualify for a contribution to the costs of certain elements of their connection. We have produced an information note to explain the basis for this contribution further.
We are required to consider questions that arise with regard to the derivation of this Reasonable Cost contribution. On 23 May 2006, we published an interim statement on how we intended to administer reasonable cost determinations. We also asked interested parties for their views on this interim statement, prior to it becoming final.
Following the consultation, we finalised our Statement. The document sets out the process for making a request for a Reasonable Cost determination.
